We want Klaus to sign the Lisbon Treaty!
After the Polish President Mr Lech Kaczynski signed the Lisbon Treaty the last hurdle for it to take effect seems to be the Czech President Vaclav Klaus who is inventing reasons for not singing.
The European Youth for an Irish Yes welcomes the efforts of Young European Federalists who came up with an interesting campaign action – on the same day presidents of member sections in the 27 European countries will send Klaus a letter and a pen asking him to sign the Treaty. More information about the action can be found here.
Ireland says YES to Lisbon!
European youth for an Irish YES celebrates Ireland’s tremendous vote of confidence in the Lisbon Treaty and in European integration as a whole following the exceptional result achieved on Saturday, October 2nd. 67% of Irish people voted YES, with a 58% turnout.
A big thank you to everybody who was campaigning in Dublin for a YES vote. We got it!
